Blackwomen should never sell themselves short.  Sistas live in a country with a white majority population, so, their beauty is not gonna be promoted in the same way as white beauty, but that's not a shocker to anyone.  If black people were the majority in america, I think that we would treat whitewomen 10x better than how blackwomen are treated at the present time.  Self-loving black people are not jealous-hearted, and thus, would be fair in their dealings with whitewomen and others.

   If BW were WW, there would be hair and skin products readily advertised on television and internet. I am being a little facetious. . I know that. But I just would love to see commercials with a face I can relate to. I would love to see ads with products for me. I would love for Pantene and any other beauty company to stop patronizing me. They act like they are doing us a favor because they thought enough of us to create a product for "women of color." Whatever!

THE AMERICAN BEAUTY STANDARD FOR WOMEN!  How would you feel if YOU looked NOTHING like this?!

What if suddenly, instantly, the power of white femininity were transferred to black women?

“Beauty tar potion” would become globally popular to get the “black look.” “Dove” would be replaced with a black soap called “Raven” to help exfoliate the skin and bring out subtle hints of melanin.

White female features would be declared violent. Their “jagged” thin lips, “knife sharp” noses, and “harsh” jaw lines would be nature’s way of expressing why men have a natural preference for the soft features of black women. Soft lips, soft cheekbones, and soft, round noses would be proof of natural femininity. Full, pink lips and large, dark eyes would become associated with virginal black girls whose purity must not be compromised. Black female features would thus be said to represent youth.

Straight, blond hair would be considered “wild and unruly” because when the wind blew, it did not stay in place. Women with naturally straight hair would hide their “unruly” and “wild” stick-straight hair in public. White men would sell their souls to be able to get a black woman...the darker the better!  He would cringe inside with the idea of being with a white woman, as it would help to continue the white race to go on.  Why would he want to do that?  As he's always been told that white is ugly, no good, dumb, violent, and every other negative stereotype you could think of.  He'd being dying to get a daughter that looked closer to a beautiful black woman.  His daughter would have good hair and naturally tan skin, which was not as good as having dark brown skin of course, but at least it wasn't the harsh pale skin that could burn easily in the sun.  Oh, and best of all...she would have "GOOD HAIR" it would not be wild, out of control, limp and straight.  It would have curls and her hair would be able to stay up in the air like it's suppose to.  It wouldn't be the best hair of course, as it would be a little too light in color, but at least the natural curls would help it stay up in the air.  He wouldn't worry so much about the lighter color of her hair as she could always get some hair dye and make it darker.

Black men would kill for their women, they would protect this precious creation from God!  He would have no desire for white women except to maybe pretend that he liked her when he was exceptionally horny, as he knew they were ALL easy and would do anything to get any man they can.  Most black men would believe that the pale face hos were only good for a good blow job, as their thin lips were perfect for that type of action.  Plus they had those small booties, so it would make for tight sex when getting them from behind.  Other than that, there was no need for them.  In fact, black men would think, why do those women even have a womb?

Honestly, I think MOST black men, if they could have any woman of their choice, she would NOT be a black woman with dark skin no matter how beautiful she was.  I think most black men would take any other type of woman with light skin over a black woman.   What do I base that on?  Well, most black who are married are married to women with lighter skin than them, even if she is a black woman.  I rarely see a black man with a woman with darker skin than him or even the same skin shade, very rarely!

I think some would choose a biracial black woman so they can still say they are with someone black, or any other race.  Very few I think, if they could choose any woman, would choose a black woman with dark skin for marriage, or a woman with darker skin than him...very few.

To summarize my answer I believe AT LEAST 50% of black men if they could have their choice of any woman in the world, she would not be black.  She may not be white, but she would not be black (unless it's some type of other race with a small black mixture like some puerto ricans or brazilians or something like that).  Maybe "sell their souls" is too harsh.

WOW, What state do you live in? That hasn't been my experience I have many men in my family who are with black women that are darker than them. The boy I grew up next door to-- real pretty boy, dated and had lot of purto-rican girlfriends in the past, but he settled down with a BW with chocolate skin. I know friends of family light  skin men with dark skin wives. Even guy back from in Jersey where I lived . He is a really handsome guy, married to Dark Skin woman. I 'm not saying you wrong dawn cause I never been out there in the west and I don't know what goes on out there other than what I hear.  

One thing I have noticed, is that the DARK SKIN black men do seem to always with light skin chicks. Most Dark brothas from what I recall, were usually going with light skin black women, but in my perception light skin black men seemed to be quicker to date dark black women just like myself ....Any i am not just talking about any ole light skin or brown skin brother, but I am talking about brothas who could easily had a white woman if thats what they wanted.


But again, that just may been like that in Jersey in the area where I grew up at. Actually Ironically, I have had more than one black man say to me that I should date dark skin women and stay away from light skin cause the dark skin women would treat me better and that light skin women are too materialistic and like go to the mall all the time lol. Anyway I never bought into that stuff. I didn't like darkskin because I felt that they were nicer anything like that, I lived them because smooth chocolate skin is so beautiful to me.

finally, you made my point which is highlighted in red, as most black men ARE DARK, and not light.  so if most black men are dark and they like women lighter than them...then most black men are with women who are lighter than them, whether they are black or another race.  so that leaves a whole lot of black women alone or makes it a lot more challenging trying to get into a relationship.  trust me, i know from experience and it's not like i come to a relationship with a lot of problems.  remember i said in another topic how many black men want to make me mixed and i'm not, as if they have to find a reason why they are attracted to me, a black woman with dark skin.  once they find out i'm a nappy head, black woman with 2 dark skin parents with nappy hair and i am NOT mixed with arab or east indian like they try to pin on me...they lose interest!

Honestly, I think MOST black men, if they could have any woman of their choice, she would NOT be a black woman with dark skin no matter how beautiful she was.  I think most black men would take any other type of woman with light skin over a black woman.   What do I base that on?  Well, most black who are married are married to women with lighter skin than them, even if she is a black woman.  I rarely see a black man with a woman with darker skin than him or even the same skin shade, very rarely!

I think some would choose a biracial black woman so they can still say they are with someone black, or any other race.  Very few I think, if they could choose any woman, would choose a black woman with dark skin for marriage, or a woman with darker skin than him...very few.

To summarize my answer I believe AT LEAST 50% of black men if they could have their choice of any woman in the world, she would not be black.  She may not be white, but she would not be black (unless it's some type of other race with a small black mixture like some puerto ricans or brazilians or something like that).  Maybe "sell their souls" is too harsh.
