The Republican Party Keeps Getting Scarier and Scarier and Scarier!

Well, it looks like I was right, the republican party has gotten wickedly scarier.  The sad thing, is people have lost their interest in voting. Especially after they say Obama failed or bombed at the first debate. This sucks because I think this election is more serious than the last.  Glad McCain is not running this year. I think he could actually win.  But with other races most likely not to vote, Obama is in trouble. You guys better start making money any way you can and now because things are going to change, and not for the best. Do you guys know what I am saying?

I agree with you on Daylight. Government can't be trusted. Period. It's just funny to me how everyone kept their mouth shut all these years. And when they didn't like the president you would hear them say, "but that's the American president so I will show them respect and support them." I heard it said all the time with George Bush. Now that our president is black, for the first time in history, no one feels the need to respect him at all. This should upset every black man and woman. When they attacked Clinton, we had his back. Shouldn't we give our president that same support if not more? What's going on here?

I agree with you on supporting the president but not on the trust issue with government! Of course most politicians are in the back pockets of special interests, but that's because we need a major overhaul of campaign finance legislation! An honest hardworking average citizen cannot raise the capital needed to run for office without taking campaign donations (bribes) form the private sector! The concept of "government" is not bad (as much as the neocons would have you believe)! The government is the only thing standing in the way of  a morally bankrupt private sector whose main motivation is greed at any cost! Anyone who believes corporations would abide by any ethical standards, is probably a strong believer in unicorns and the tooth fairy! Does anyone think BP would have cleaned up the mess they made in the gulf without government intervention (mostly by the democrats, while the GOP was groveling at the feet of their political benefactors)? Besides, if a politician is undeserving of his office, we have a right and opportunity to vote him or her out of office! Unless you're on the board of directors, try doing that with a corporate CEO! HA! Fat chance!

Yes we should give him more support .Here is problem , The republican party wants him to do things their way . Obama wouldn't . He was ridiculed for bail outs and changing the law making it mandatory for everyone to have medical insurance by 2014 . People stopped trusting him after the bail outs and medical insurance issue because they thought he was making more promises than getting anything done so the republicans blocked any attempt to pass bills by him . They did not want work with him unless a compromise was made . People thought his popularity overshadowed his duty Inwhich later Obama corrected .

interesting topic. people should vote for who is best for the job period. I don't believe in automatically voting along party lines, which is why I am not registered with any party. I vote for who is best for the job.

There are several factors . There is a trust issue because both sides can't be trusted neither democratic or republican . Controversy follows . OCCUPY and the american people rattled some bones with the 99% and the1% and shook up congress . The military will play a big part in this campaign because there are many stories to tell about the war and how it was fought . Jobs is a major factor as well as taxation . The medical insurance debate another factor . Education a major priority .

Funny story people were chatting about today. A lady, and I won't say her name, made a comment about supporting the repubs because they are the ones who can really get things done. Everyone's jaws dropped when she said this.

So I asked her, "What do you think they will do differently that will help you?" Now I usually won't encourage talk about politics or religion, but curiosity killed the cat, I guess. I think I'm gonna need a break after this one...


She paused for a sec and then mustered up the courage to say, "They are going to lower taxes." She said this with a straight face so I took it that maybe she wasn't joking. I just can't believe that after how cocky they have been lately with racist views and holding the country back, that anyone could think this. I'm talking about educated people here. You see, they do plan to lower the taxes, but this is for a small percentage of Americans, and doesn't include you. I even try to tell some people that even if you are making above a certain amount, you are not really going to benefit by the republicans being in power.


Besides you have to think about the republicans lately. You have to think about the content of the news that they control (FOX News). Republicans aren't the most honest people. They lie and twist stories and Fox News television station has a big reputation for not telling the truth or twisting it around. Do we actually want these people controlling our government, that already has disappointed so many people?


And even if you hate having president Obama as the president, you have to admit - I know you have to trust him a lot more than you did that Bush guy. The way politics are right now, I don't even blame republicans for not being republican. LMAO


Besides, I think that even those who hate President Obama don't understand his limited power. Blame people who don't vote for not exercising their power. That power is being taken away from them piecemeal. Though we have a democratic president, our society is ran and controlled by republicans right now. Republicans who are refusing to work with president Obama.

 If you really want to help make things better, vote democratic all the way across the board. Because the people who are going to run against Obama are some very scary people - People that we do not want running our government. Trust me on this. Because if the republicans stay in power, watch out!
