I can't agree with your comments because I do not believe that one race is inherently more attractive or less attractive to the other. I think there is beauty in all races. To say that the only attractive white women are mixed is just as wrong as saying the only attractive Black women are mixed. We know there are beautiful women who are white, I posted Autumn Reeser and Megan Fox, they're both attractive white women. So, this is not about putting the beauty of white women down and putting Black beauty on a pedestal. This is about racism, hypocrisy and inequality.

My beef with some of the white women on the site is that they obviously had issues with beautiful black women being represented on the site, but allowed all other ethnicites of women and white men, but as soon as a Black man posts a picture of a beautiful black woman that's a problem...? WHAT?!

That's completely racist, if you're going to allow white men and other ethnicity of women, then you should allow Black women, either that or just keep it white women/black men only. 

This site is NOT about putting down the beauty of white women, this is about leveling the playing field. When we live in a world where whiteness is the beauty standard and we have women bleaching their skins and putting harsh chemicals on their hair just to meet a standard of beauty and be accepted in society that's a problem. When we have people claiming that Black women are objectively the least attractive and when we have people claiming the only attractive "black women" are mixed, that is a problem.

We live in such a superficial society that for some reason people equate external beauty with morality and character, so Black women are often seen as inherently bad because we don't meet society's beauty ideals. That's not right.

I'm not a female, i come at this issue from an entirely different perspective than you, dawn, vashti, and so forth.  Yes, all women are beautiful in god's sight, but we can't downplay the results of slavery and colonization as it relates to whitewomen.  As i've said many times, i pay attention to what i see and hear in media.  As it relates to mixed whitewomen, i stand by what i said.  You mentioned Megan Fox, she's a southern whitewoman with dark hair and olive skin.  Any man with decent vision can see the blackness within her a mile away.  Britney Spears is another southern belle from Lousiana, she has black hair, full lips, wide hips, apple bottom, and so forth.  Whitewomen know this to be true, they can't deny the truth, that's all i'm saying Smoothie.

we have to fight to have our beauty recognized. It's tiring and the insecurity and racism from some non-bw is tiring too and that's what this is all about.

let me give you a quote from one of the black men posters on that website, to demonstrate what I mean:


“I read that beyonce thread and I think the point of it WAS
totally missed. That had to do with black beauty and people's perception
of it. Even though a lot of brothas on here love white women, gotta
still have the sistas back when racism is hitting them. I think I already
said how the media in america tries to manipulate the perception of beauty to white and lighter toned women and that thread was sticking up

and to that my response is if you are a Black man who exclusively dates or prefers non-black women, but you are trying to speak up for black women and talking about how beautiful we are, you need to stop. That's hypocritical. You cannot talk about beauty standards and racism in the media, when you don't even prefer or date Black women your own damn self. STOP THAT HYPOCRISY.

Do not pretend to be supportive of Black women when you don't even mess with them yourself. It is absolutely ridiculous to talk about the evils of colorism and eurocentric beauty standards when you don't even date Black women yourself, I mean how am I supposed to take you seriously? that is absolutely ridiculous.

He's sitting there talking about racist beauty standards and colorism and he is  a product of that mentality  himself. That's why I say, keep doing what you do, but don't talk about colorism and beauty standards, when you don't date black women that's cowardly and hypocritical. date who you want, but do not be a hypocrite.

We post  of  black  HERE because if we didnt' we'd hardly EVER see  of beautiful black  elsewhere. we certainly dont' see them in the media, we don't see them in magazines, we don't see them in maxim, we really don't EVEN see them in BLACK  magazines any more, we see the mixed/ambigous  now.

SO this is really only one the FEW PLACES where we can come and see pictures of beautiful authentic, Black-Black women. So this is about leveling the playing field.

Ideally ,  would be more individualistic and not so racialized, but we live in a white supremacist world ,that is the reality. So we, Black women, have to fight for acceptance even within our own ethnic groups whereas  have the PRIVILEGE of being considered the  standard all over the western world and what with the prevalence of the western media, outside the western world as well.

So for some white  a blog to get upset about a few pictures of some beautiful Black women being posted when white women are already the  standard and when we see their  being lauded and praised above all other women, is just greedy and  to me. That whole website was pro-white women, but one little thread about Black women is that serious of an offense...when you're already the beauty standard to begin with?

that's ridiculous. that's not right and that's what this is about.

then on top of all that people tell us our features are unattractive, but the minute they show up on kim kardashian or a white  wears some cornrows or an afro, it's hot and sexy and black women STILL don't get any credit for having those features. It's ridiculous. We still end up being seen as the bottom, even when other women can claim our features and be lauded as goddesses.

When I went to check out the post, I saw that some of the Black men & white women members were having a “discussion,” about Black men posting pictures of “hot black women,” and white women posting pictures of “hot white men,” on a website that was dedicated to white women/ black men.
 
Some of the white women posters were stating that black men on the website were posting pictures of hot black women “all over the site.” Some white women posters felt offended by the pictures of beautiful Black women. The interesting thing was that the Black men posters apparently had started threads on hot Asian, hot Indian & other hot non-white women, but when the post on Black women was started, there was a problem. One self-identified white woman even claimed that some of the Black men posting pictures were probably Black women trying to derail the thread (ya’ll know how we get scapegoated for everything)

Now, why does this pertain to a BWE site?


The black men/white women on that forum should have just stuck to posting pictures of “hot white women.” What black men/white women do on their forums is their business but when you drag black women into it, you open yourself up to criticism.

If I were to start a thread where white men post pictures of hot women of all ethnicities, I would never exclude white women, but allow all other ethnicities. I would expect a white man to be attracted to white women, even if he dates non-white women.  It seems that some women are insecure about a Black man (or any man) being attracted to a Black woman.

This goes back to the Eurocentric beauty hierarchy. One thing I found ridiculous was the fact that some white women would get offended at pictures of Black women when white supremacy has assured that white women remain the beauty standard of the world,  while Black women’s beauty is maligned constantly. One little thread about beautiful Black women &  that’s enough to bring out your insecurity, but it's okay to post pictures of attractive white men and non-white woman as long as they're not Black?

That’s a bit ridiculous to me. The reason we even have a site like LMS is because we have to post pictures of beautiful Black women because we hardly ever get to see beautiful Black women in the media, unless she’s as close to being white as possible. In contrast, we see many images of beautiful white women in the media.

To the Black Men on the Forum:


If you’re posting pictures of “hot black women,” & advocating for an end to colorism in the Black community, yet you date non-black women EXCLUSIVELY…then you’re a hypocrite and you’re actually perpetuating colorism. So, spare me the hypocritical attitude and stick to what you do best… posting pictures of “hot white women.” Spare me the charade, don’t bash Black women, keep our name out of your mouths and we’ll all be fine…do you. So Thanks, but no thanks.

i agree with everything you said chocolate.  i think if they are going to allow the posting of other races of women then black women should be allowed too, or just ONLY stick to white women and leave out ALL other races.  to have all races of women but black women is 100% racism!
